Is your company looking to attract new visitors to your website? Would you like to learn how to convert those visitors into leads? Would you like to convert those leads into lifelong customers? If you answered yes to any of those questions then we have to just come out and say it, yes, inbound marketing is for you.

The digital age has transformed marketing into a whole new ballgame. The days of direct mailing, cold calling and paid ads is a solution of the past.  Marketing has transformed but the need for it hasn’t. Marketing strategy is just as important today as it was 30 years ago, maybe even more so.

With the ever changing world of marketing it’s hard to know what to focus on – social, engagement, blogs or all of the above? Here enters Inbound Marketing, a marketing solution that helps attract, convert, close and delight customers utilizing all of the above solutions, plus some. Still wondering if Inbound Marketing is the right solution for you? We’re going to reiterate it and say yes, yes it is.

Inbound Marketing is the best way to drive traffic, convert leads and turn a stranger into a friend, a friend into a customer and a customer into a lifelong promoter of your business. Inbound Marketing gives you the opportunity to connect with customers in ways that makes sense for all brands.

Inbound Marketing Methodology

A lot of businesses know and understand that they should be on social media, they should be online but what they really struggle with is understanding the purposes. We once had a client that was doing social media but they weren’t really into it, it was always a struggle collecting new content like images, it was always a pain point. One day we finally stopped and asked “why are you on social media?” I was shocked to find out that they were only on it because they thought they needed to be. While this may be true, it should never be the only reason we indulge in social media, inbound marketing or any other marketing campaign. Anytime we engage we should have a clear purpose with goals and objectives to achieve our purpose. Doing something for the sake of doing something is immediately limiting.

Inbound marketing is a powerful tool because of it’s ability to attract, convert, close and delight customers using proven methods like social media, blogs, landing pages and calls-to-action. These aren’t new concepts, but using them the right way may be a foreign concept to a lot of businesses.

At this point you may be saying “Oh perfect! We already do social media and blogs” but what you should really be asking yourself is are we doing them the right way? Are we capturing and tracking potential data? Are we using the information we gather to create new landing pages? Do we have clear, visible and enticing call-to-action buttons on our blogs and landing pages? Inbound marketing is right for every company, as long as it’s done right.

We often hear from clients that their business isn’t “sexy” that they don’t see the point of inbound marketing because they don’t have anything to offer. This is the biggest mistake we often hear from clients, “we don’t have anything to offer”. Every social media platform may not be right for every client, that’s true, but that’s not to say inbound marketing can’t work for every industry because it can and it should.

Like any marketing campaign or strategy, inbound marketing does require thinking outside the box. Just because you’re in the construction industry for example doesn’t mean there aren’t things you can’t teach a potential client. Giving a little information away in exchange for customer e-mails, is a great way to attract new customers. For example, say you’re in the construction industry and a high percentage of your clients are coming to you for bathroom remodels. A good way to utilize inbound marketing would be to create a pdf called something like “12 things to know before remodeling your bathroom.” You could then create a landing page that you can drive people to via social media that uses a form to capture their info before allowing them to download this form, checklist, tips etc. SEE, every industry can potentially be sexy to the customer. This is just one example of many.

Do you want to attract new customers? Convert those leads and close the sale? If so, then you should consider an inbound marketing campaign tailored to your business and industry.

Inbound marketing has a proven track record of being the most effective form of marketing for any business with an online presence. More often than not, we hear from clients that are trying to get a grasp on the purpose of social media, how to utilize social media to drive traffic and increase sales and how to capture leads. With Inbound marketing it’s no longer about trying to be on everything at the same time but rather about how to best leverage our content so that we can use it on social media to drive traffic to sites and convert traffic leads to customers.
